Rajasthan is a state that reverberates with rich heritage painted with great amount of traditional and rustic touch to it. On this trip we will be experiencing the beautiful weather of Rajasthan in winters, mesmerizing landscapes, rich heritage, breathtaking architecture and many more, and all these together will sum up to make  this trip one of the most memorable ones.

Udaipur city, founded by Maharana Udai singh II in 1559 is also often referred to as ‘White City of Rajasthan’ as the Rajput kings built palaces made of white marble that stands out prominently in the city. Apart from this, there is also a blue side to the city, which is symbolically associated with Lord Shiva and many settlers of the region painted their houses in this shade. Hence many prefers to call it a ‘blue city’ too.

The ‘City of Lakes’ is not only a place to unwind and celebrate life but also to appreciate the beauty of nature and man-made creations as well. The famous Lake Palace, located in the middle of Lake Pichola is one of the most beautiful sights of Udaipur. The City Palace is an epitome of magnificent architecture, that speaks of an elaborate and glorious history with regal aura. The Fateh Sagar Lake, the second largest lake in the city provides the pleasure of afternoon leisure with activities of boating while enjoying the mesmerizing view of the lake. And yes, how can we forget shopping! There are many local shops present with a plethora of colourful  items right from precious stone jewellery, textiles, footwear, meenakari items, paintings, oxidized silver and copper artefacts and sculptures made of marble too. As for food, apart from the signature Rajasthani thali you can try the various types of Kachoris, Paani pooris, Dal Baati choorma, another traditional dish from Rajasthan. As for sweets, Jalebis and Kesar kulfi serves the perfect dessert to end your meal.

During this time of the year, Udaipur remains bright and sunny with the weather being mild and extremely pleasant. The late evenings and nights however, get a bit chilly and since we would be going to Mount Abu too, which is a hill station with an elevation of 1,220 m (4003ft) hence we recommended you to carry warm clothes, especially for the night. The Achalgarh Fort built in 14th century is a popular attraction along with the Nakki lake to spend our time in leisure and with fun activities at Mount Abu.
