This is a trip curated for both the leisure-loving travelers as well as the adventurous ones. Meghalaya is one of those magical places in India that provides not just scenic landscapes but also stirs the adrenaline with its roaring waterfalls, enigmatic caves, dense forests and the natural wonders like the living root bridges. Visit to Meghalaya can be summed up as ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ experience, experiencing the highest waterfall in the wettest place of India. Although very close to nature, Meghalaya is a developed place with a blend of modern and traditional infrastructure. The Khasi tribe is quite progressive and believes in sustainable practices. In this trip we will be visiting Asia’s cleanest village, Mawlynnong. We’ll also see the Seven Sister’s Fall that would set your heart racing fast with its majestic appearance and boisterous sound. Other than many other spellbinding spots of Meghalaya, we will also travel to the mystical ‘Sacred Grove Forest’ in Mawlphang which is highly worshipped and revered to by the locals. No one is allowed to carry anything from this forest…not even a pebble or a fallen leaf. It is believed ,anyone who does is sure to suffer from sickness of some kind.

- 25% of the payment is to be made a month before the trip at the time of booking your seat.
- Balance payment is to be paid 20 days prior to the trip starting date in case of trips within India and 30 days prior in case of any trips outside India.
- 100% of the amount is to be paid if the booking is made 20 days or less than it, prior to the commencing of the trip.

- Breakfast and one meal, either Lunch or Dinner is included as per the itinerary mentioned.
- Meals provided in trips can be either À la carte or buffet.
- By default, all meals provided are vegetarian
- Any preference for non- veg dishes / alcoholic beverages can be added at an additional cost.
- Any meals not included in the inclusions will be at an additional cost, payable directly during the trip.
- The group size will be limited to a maximum of 16 people: 15 participants + 1 group leader or a minimum of 6 people: 5 participants + 1 group leader.
- We do not provide water bottles or any snacks during the trip. We therefore recommend you to carry your own water bottles and snacks like dry fruits/energy bars etc to nibble on during journeys.
- On day 7th, participants will be dropped to Guwahati airport. Participants are requested to book their flight /train after 1pm. In case someone misses the return flight/train from Guwahati, Terrain Travels will not be liable for the incident.
- ZEST, ZEAL, ENTHUSIASM—the most needed.
- Rain coats, as we are going to the most wet areas of the Nation.
- Sanitizers and mask (please carry extra masks in case you lose one).
- Comfortable walking shoes/sports/ hiking shoes having good grip as we are going to the most wet areas of the Nation. Sightseeing calls for some amount of walking tours
- Indoor flip-flops/slippers, so that you do not have to roam around bare footed.

- Most importantly, do not skip carrying your valid government approved Identity proof. No ID cards of institutions/organisation you work for is accepted during entries and other govt. official formalities.
Cancellation Policy
In case of cancellation of the tour from your end for whatever reasons might be, Hills & Vales must be intimated through an email. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive your writing, and the cancellation charges would be applicable on the total trip tariff and not on the token/ advance amount paid. The token/ advance amount paid is non-refundable and non-transferable.
- 51-60 days before the trip- 90% refund.
- 50-41 days before the trip- 70% refund.
- 40-31 days before the trip- 50 % refund.
- 30-21 days before the trip- 20% refund.
- Less than 20 days before the trip- no refund.
Note: However, in case if the trip is cancelled by Hills & Vales or finds itself in a situation where the trip cannot be executed, due to either any emergency that might affect the itinerary, the trip would be rescheduled or your payment refunded with the amount you paid. You remain assured that once you paid your money to us, it becomes our responsibility.
Written cancellation will be accepted on all working days, except Sunday, Any cancellation sent on Saturday / Sunday or public holidays will be considered on the next working day.
